is the darkening when stepped down only when you press the DOF preview button? Or perhaps on on a lens with a slow max aperture? Because usually cameras only close down the aperture when you press the shutter button to keep the viewfinder bright. My FE2 and FM2 have the same focusing screen, and they aren't dark stopped down unless you pull the preview lever

Update on this lens. It is actually excellent. When I first got one, I tried it on an aps-c rebel. At that time the images were not that good. But saved the lens for many years. Fast forward to present. Now using Modern Canon full frame. Bingo, Retrying the lens now shows excellent quality. With the ability to register this lens to your camera for lens aberration and chromatic reductions. with Canon's camera connect program. Now the pictures are sharp, corrected, and no CA. Keep in mind this lens will be best suited on full frame only. But what awesome results. Even if you only need it for walks in the park. This lens gets it done very well. You must know first off to correctly set your f/ stops, iso's. With correct settings you get excellent photos. Even handheld at 300mm. Because you increase shutter speed to achieve sharper results. Very good lens when used correctly. highly recommended.

50mm f1.8 - hit or miss focus, true, that never changes. From arc drive on the 1st revision with metal bayonet, to micromotor in ver. II, all the way to STM here. This fifty only seems nifty. 50mm f1.4 from Canon usually gets bad reviews, because of the variance in quality. But recently Canon quietly improved this factor, and now they are really okay in the corners even wide open.

I will buy the two models to release stress with the two balls

Hello, everyone, can you help me with my problem? I have lumix gx80 and when I choose timelaps in menu and then I press the photo button and screen goes off like camera turns off, but when i press photo button again screen lights up and there is no photo in galery, what is wrong?

eos RP is like finding the holy grail, a small compact lightweight full frame camera with eye autofocus and has a viewfinder. thats RARE. but canon manage to kill their own products. no dual sd card and very small miniature battery. canon eos RP is like canon saying of course we have good amazing products, with afordable prize, but we dont want to win from sony a7iii

Look at the Sigma 45mm 2.8 DG DN C lens. This is a nice high quality compact lens.

Good point Lunix should have some smaller FF primes in their roadmap. Until they do that the sigma contemporary L mount primes are the smallest.

When Canon has a 28mm f2.8 which is just little bit thicker- this lens is a sad joke!

I would call this a fun lens if it was under $120. $200 is inexcusable when certain toy lenses perform better at a cheaper price.

For $200 this is a joke. They should have bundled it for free with the S9. Or made a proper AF lens with f/2.8 like the pancakes from Canon and Nikon.

An interesting body cap lens. For the price I think it should have filter thread for caps etc. Body cap lenses like the Olympus Mu-43 one have a focus stop for close up which is nice. For the price of this lens in Australia I think focus stops should be a must.

Cuando pongo ''on'' para poder prenderla, la luz verde titila un montón de tiempo hasta que me deja sacar fotos, luego, para poder ver las imagenes que saqué (Que tendré no mucho mas de 100) la luz está bastante tiempo titilando, no me deja pasar las fotos (como que se traba) hasta que se apaga por completo la cámara. Alguna solución? pensé que era de la bateria pero anda de 10, y la memoria tiene muchisimo almacenamiento. Espero alguna respuesta, gracias! /// Hello! I have the same camera.
